Three sets of twin in one class at Musical Bumps in Kings Hill, West Malling

The likelihood of a couple having identical twins is currently about one in 400.

But in one small nursery class in Kings Hill, near West Malling, there are three sets of identical twin girls.

And the class is led by Sarah Marsh, who also has an identical twin. Musical Bumps, which hosts fun sessions for youngsters, has a class of children aged between one and two on a Tuesday morning.

And it is here the six girls can be found.

Although their mums didn’t know each other before going to the sessions, they have become fast friends.

Carly Simpson attends with her twins Maisie and Sienna, and is joined by Charlotte Harrison with Holly and Isabelle, and Maria Giamouzi with her daughters Amelia and Rosalia.

Classes are led by Sarah Marsh, who set up Musical Bumps at Kings Hill Community Centre.

She is very close to her identical twin sister, Katie Neilson. Sarah says the pair are very similar, despite trying to forge different identities.

The 47-year-old said: “We have very similar voices and both work in music education. Katie lives in Hertfordshire though, so our paths don’t cross very often.

“It’s probably fair to say we’re a little bit competitive, but we are very close. Just occasionally our kids muddle us up, especially on the phone.”

The three sets of two-year-olds all live in or around Kings Hill, and enjoy the weekly classes, which aim to teach children through music and play.

Musical Bumps has classes around the county for babies and toddlers, as well as after-school classes for those who are a bit older.
