Aldi launches online toy shop and releases top 10 Christmas toys
Aldi is promising to have Christmas wrapped-up for parents this year with the launch of an online toy shop.
The budget supermarket has created a 'dedicated online toy store' to help families snap up all the gifts for kids they need and to make Christmas shopping easier than ever for busy families.
The toy shop is selling Aldi's own-brand toys including its regular Specialbuys alongside other familiar brand favourites.
Aldi has unveiled its new virtual toy shop at the same time as revealing what it thinks will be the top 10 must-have toys.
From traditional wooden toys such as its ornate Dolls House and Wooden Kitchen for under £30 to firm family favourites including Barbie and LEGO the supermarket chain has carefully selected what it thinks will be topping wish lists to Santa this year.
Aldi’s top 10 toys predictions for 2018 are:
1 Wooden Kitchen (£29.99)
2 Electric Scooter (£69.99)
3 Wooden Playshop/Theatre (£29.99)
4 Fur Real Toys (£19.99)
5 Wooden Dolls House (£29.99)
6 LEGO (£6.99)
7 Barbie (£14.99)
8 Rocking Horse (or Unicorn) (£29.99)
9 Hatchimal Owlicorn (£29.99)
10 Teepee (£39.99)
Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK said: “Christmas is such a magical time and this year we’re proud to spread some festive cheer by offering our biggest and best range of toys yet. We also know how stressful Christmas shopping can be, which is why our team of experts have been hard at work to try and take as much of the stress out of Christmas as possible by hand-picking the latest must-have toys for our customers.
"With more and more Brits shopping for their gifts online, we hope our new online toy store will help to make the process much easier for shoppers and ensure that our quality products are available to more customers than ever before, including those who do not have an Aldi store nearby."
