Idina Menzel will read Cbeebies Bedtime Story on Sunday (November 24) as Kent cinemas prepare for release of Frozen 2

The actress behind the unmistakable voice of Elsa is to read a Cbeebies bedtime story this weekend - as the much anticipated sequel Frozen II hits cinemas across Kent.

Idina Menzel who plays the popular Disney ice queen, has been unveiled as the latest star to settle on the Cbeebies sofa and read a story to the nation's youngsters.

The Broadway star is joining the likes of Tom Hardy, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Kent's Orlando Bloom and Captain America star Chris Evans.

She is to read her story this Sunday, November 24, on the Cbeebies channel at 6.50pm.

She will be reading Robin's Winter Song by Suzanne Barton, which is the story of a little robin's first winter.

Frozen II, once again starring Idina Menzel as Elsa, is released in cinemas across the county this Friday (November 22).

It will see the return of sisters Elsa and Anna, alongside firm favourites Kristoff, snowman Olaf and reindeer Sven as they embark on a new adventure outside of their home in Arendelle to understand more about Elsa's magical powers.

Frozen II screenings are currently available to pre-book at the majority of Kent's cinemas - you can find your nearest cinema showing the film and book your tickets by clicking here.

At Odeon cinemas, which has branches in Maidstone, Chatham, Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells, a free Frozen picture advent calendar is also up for grabs with child tickets booked to see the film this weekend.

To be in with a chance of claiming the offer families need to book their child tickets to see Frozen II either online or at their local cinema and see the film between this Friday and Sunday (November 22 and 24).

Whilst at Cineworld cinemas in Rochester, Dover and Ashford free colour and create snowflake decorations are available for young cinema-goers who see the film in RealD 3D this opening weekend. Further details available here.
