Kent trampoline parks Soar in Gillingham and Jump In in Tonbridge to open this year

Kent is to get two more indoor trampoline parks - including one which opens this weekend.

Soar in Gillingham will throw open its doors - and trampolines - to visitors for the first time this Saturday.

With a wall to wall trampoline arena, foam diving pits, dodge-ball courts, slam dunk areas, a dual pit and wipe out zone, the indoor trampoline park is promising 'exhilarating fun for everyone'.

Following a grand opening on Friday evening, which is a ticket only event, Soar at Unit 5 & 6 of the Medway Distribition Centre in Courteney Road, will then open properly on Saturday morning for families.

Online booking for flights has already opened.

Soar is the county's second indoor trampoline park, following the opening of Gravity in Maidstone's Lockmeadow.

But work is already in place to bring a third centre to families in Kent.

Firm Jump In has announced it also intends to open a facility, this time in Tonbridge, which will be the company's third park in the country with two already running in Slough and Warwick.

The 30,000 square foot park will open in Morley Road, Tonbridge in October, where it is hoped it will create around 70 jobs for the area.

Jump In's Mark Allan said: "It's a new craze in the UK that's really begun to take off. #

"Not only because it's fantastic fun but also because it's something the whole family can take part in."
