Things to do in Kent this weekend
It's the second weekend of the half term break and, Halloween is looming.
Kent is consequently packed full of things to see and do!
We've rounded up seven things you can enjoy with family and friends this weekend:
1 Fright at the Museum, The Beaney, Canterbury
Friday, October 26
For one afternoon and one night only, the city museum is becoming a haunted house and launching frighteningly good family fun between noon and 8.30pm.
There's a ghost hunt trail, Halloween handling sessions from the museum's collections, pumpkin carving, fancy dress competitions and The Black Cauldron Bar to keep everyone refreshed.

2 Scarecrow Festival and Trail, Whitstable Castle
Saturday, October 27
It's the last day of the popular Scarecrow Festival at Whistable Castle. The event began on Monday and the grounds of the castle have been decorated with the colourful straw figures ever since.

3 Spooktacular Fun, The Forum Shopping Centre, Sittingbourne
Saturday, October 27
Two days of scarily good Halloween fun is taking place at the shopping centre between 11am and 4pm. Children can come dressed in costumes and take part in a Safe Trick or Treating event. Young visitors simply search the centre for spooky posters hidden in shop windows, then pop in store to collect a free sweet treat from a member of staff.
There will be a magician sharing some super tricks, a face painter to add the finishing touches to spooky outfits and Halloween crafts will also be available.
4 Superhero Weekend, Spa Valley Railway
Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28
Take your youngsters to catch a train this weekend dressed as their favourite superhero and they can climb aboard for just £1!
The Tunbridge Wells railway has the special superhero-themed event running on both Saturday and Sunday for children who come dressed as their favourite character.

5 Halloween Party, Whitefriars Shopping Centre, Canterbury
Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28
It's the last two days of the week-long half term Halloween party in Whitefriars in Canterbury city centre. There has been pumpkin carving, facepainting, character meet and greets, potion making and a Halloween disco amongst the fun and games.

6 Fangs of the Forest, Betteshanger Country Park, Deal
Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28
Round up the family and venture deep into the forest this Halloween weekend to enjoy a selection of spooky woodland activities.
Build a bat cave, create bats and spiders from natural resources, toast sticky marshmallows over an open fire and hunt for creepy crawlies. Tickets are £12.50 for children and £5 for adults and sessions run at 10am and 1.30pm and last two and a half hours. The event is suitable for children aged four and over and one adult can accompany up to three children.

Dare you ride the ghost train this weekend? It's scary - but not too scary!
It's Halloween weekend on the railway and train rides on the miniature engines take place between 1pm and 4pm each day.
