Canterbury Tales prepares for a Magical Medieval Christmas grotto experience

Could your youngsters rescue Santa from Medieval England and bring him back to 2017 in time for Christmas?

The time travelling challenge is on offer to families visiting the Canterbury Tales on one special weekend in December.

Magical Medieval Christmas sees the big man transported and stranded in the Middle Ages.

Youngsters will be transported back in time for a Magical Medieval Christmas.
Youngsters will be transported back in time for a Magical Medieval Christmas.

It will be down to budding adventurers on December 16 and December 17 to save Santa and bring him back to the present day in time to deliver presents on Christmas Eve.

Families will be guided through a series of festive activities on the medieval streets of the Canterbury Tales visitor attraction and there will be songs, games and dressing up.

The journey will end - if adventurers are successful in their quest - with a visit to Santa's grotto and a gift for every child.

The unique experience has been created and written by Callum Donnelly, whose credits include Cbeebies favourites Spotbots and Justin’s House.

The Magical Medieval Christmas guided experience lasts around 45 minutes and The Canterbury Tales will not be running its usual visitor attraction tours on Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17.

Tickets for the special event are £12 for adults and £6 for adults. A family ticket for two adults and two children is £33.
