Life light show, from the Luxmuralis team behind last year’s Space Voyage, is coming to Rochester Cathedral in October
A spectacular light show is set to showcase the beauty of our planet this autumn.
Life, an incredible illuminations display from the team behind the sell-out Space Voyage display, will be wowing visitors at Rochester Cathedral for five nights this October.
Luxmuralis’ latest show sees sound and light art projected onto the cathedral's architectural features, transforming the space into an immersive artwork.
The light show will take visitors on a journey to reflect on life on today's planet in a single 24 hour period.
From sunrise to sunset, the earth’s land, sea and sky will be displayed using soundscapes and projections which surround you as you walk through the exhibition’s artworks.
The award-winning artistic collaboration has been created by sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper.
Luxmuralis’ previous exhibition, Space Voyage, came to the cathedral last year for three nights and saw more than 7,000 visitors pass through the doors to see it.
This year, two additional dates have been added to the programme to accommodate demand.
Life will be at Rochester Cathedral from Tuesday, October 4 to Saturday, October 8.
Tickets must be booked online in advance and you will be provided with a timeslot to enter the cathedral. Tickets cost £8 per adult and £4.50 for those under 18.
