Dinosaur Forest

Take the family along to the new dinosaur experience at Port Lympne Animal Reserve this Easter weekend. Go back to the prehistoric ages as the lifed-size creatures come to life in their own Jurassic kingdom. Over 100 dinosaurs will be on show at the the park's latest attraction. As well as the dinosaurs and amazing collection of animals, kids can enjoy free activities, including fact-packed dinosaur tours, crafts, games and take part in the maze trail to win exciting prizes.

Easter Event
@ Brogdale at Faversham
Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday
The annual Easter event at Brogdale features baby owls alongside the lambs, chicks, rabbits and piglets. The falconry team will give daily flying displays while the Kent Poultry Club will be bringing along chickens, ducks and geese. Incubated chicks will be hatching over the Easter period and children may also have an opportunity to volunteer to feed the lambs. Elsewhere the tractor trailer will take children up into the orchards for an egg hunt. There's also Easter crafts and the outdoor play park to enjoy.

Festival of Steam and Transport

Easter Sunday and Easter Monday
Go full steam ahead at this year's annual Festival of Steam and Transport two-day event. With a carnival atmosphere, there's fun, free entertainment including a free funfair, street acts, walkabout performers and lots more. Hundreds of classic and vintage vehicle owners will drive to the dockyard to display their restored and preserved vehicles, dating from 1890 to 1989. Locomotives, steam engines and motorbikes will also be on display. A great family day out.

Hetty Feather

Easter Sunday
You and the kids can enjoy a sing-a-long at the theatre this week from children's author Jacqueline Wilson. One of her best-selling books Hetty Feather will be brought to life on stage. Roll up and join Hetty as she escapes from the Foundling Hospital after being abandoned there as a baby and begins her search to find a family of her own.

Point-to-point
@ Ashford Valley Tickham, Charing, near Ashford
Saturday, March 26
Place your bets and enjoy a family-friendly day out at the races. The traditional point-to-point season begins at the course at the foot of the North Downs. The track will be hosting six races from 2pm. Take cash with you to cover entry fees and a racecard. There will be a bar, food and activities for the kids including a bouncy castle and terrier racing. There is also point-to-point at Aldington, near Ashford, on Easter Monday. The first race is at 2pm. Adults £10 but it's free for under 16s.

Easter weekend
Without a doubt this Easter's biggest family blockbuster is Disney's Zootropolis. The comedy-adventure has a cunning fox at the centre of a mystery in a vast mammal metropolis. Directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph, The Simpsons) and co-directed by Jared Bush (Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero). Odeon cinemas will be giving away a free poster to all children who watch the film before the end of the Easter weekend.
