1 The Kent County Show, Detling Hill, Maidstone

Saturday, July 7 and Sunday July 8 from 8am to 6pm

The Kent County Show is set to bring together animals, food, fun and excitement suitable for the whole family.

This year's main attraction will be the Household Cavalry, which will perform its spectacular Musical Ride.

Experience multiple food halls, a countryside area, flower show, show jumping, vintage vehicles and hundreds of animals.

Tickets cost £7 for children, £23 for adults and £50 for the whole family, with a 10% discount if purchased before the event.

2 Ribena's Big Berry Bash, Gushmere Court Farm, Faversham

Local blackcurrant growers Joshua and Lucy Berry are opening their site to the public to show what goes on behind the scenes.

The free event will include live music, berry hopper races, a hog roast and the opportunity to learn how blackcurrants are harvested.

Guests will also be able to sow their own wild flower seeds, using Ribena's bespoke mix.

3 Newington Festival 2018, Newington C of E Primary School

This family-friendly summer fair has been organised by Newington Parish Council in conjunction with Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

It will feature live music, dance displays, children's magician, brass band, funfair, barbecue, tea tent, annual tug-of-war competition and more.

An adult ticket costs £2, and money raised will be used to support the Sittingbourne-based charity, which cares for seriously ill children and their families.

4 Canterbury Medieval Pageant, Westgate Gardens, Canterbury

Commemorating Henry ll’s pilgrimage to Canterbury in 1174, this colourful parade will feature historical characters, mounted warriors, giants and medieval mayhem.

The parade will depart from Tower House in Westgate Gardens at 11am and finish at the Marlowe Theatre’s forecourt at around 12:30pm.

From 11.30am to 5pm, there will be a medieval trail suitable for the whole family, allowing visitors to explore Canterbury's numerous heritage sites.

Follow the trail, and you can also discover your talent for medieval archery, jewellery making, sword fighting, arts and crafts and more.

5 Bark in the Park, Elite Venue, Gravesend

A dog rescue charity is holding an exciting show, suitable for even the family pet.

It will include classes for all dogs, with special pug classes and obstacle courses.

There will also be street food, stalls, a licensed bar and free parking.

Any dog can enter, regardless of their breed, and each class costs £2.

6 Hythe Festival 2018, High Street, Hythe

This popular biennial event promises to be bigger than ever before, with two days of fun family entertainment.

It will feature music, dancing, poetry, theatre, crafts, a collection of new and vintage vehicles and art and heritage trail.

St Leonard's Church is also set to host a range of concerts, and organisers are working with local schools to ensure that the festivities are suitable for all ages.

7 Sevenoaks Model Railway Show, Sevenoaks Primary School

This fun show is perfect for train lovers, with 18 different layouts for visitors to enjoy.

The event will also include 16 trade stands, plus a cider stand, onsite cafe and representatives from a range of organisations.

There will be full disabled access and free parking on the day.

Tickets cost £5 for children and OAPs, £6 per adult and £15 for the family.
