More than 100 Shaun the Sheep art sculptures to be displayed in one room for Farewell Weekend
See more than 100 stunning sculptures in one place as a summer art trail comes to an end.
The Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent trail has been dotted all over Maidstone throughout the summer but, before the sculptures are gone for good, you can get one last look at them at the Farewell Weekend.
The colourful artwork will be on display at Maidstone’s Market Hall, including the large sculptures designed by talented artists and ‘little Shaun’ pieces that have been created by local schools and community groups.
This is also your last chance to pick up merchandise, snap a selfie with the sculptures and collect any app codes that you might have missed on the trail.
Many of the artists will also be on hand to talk you through the inspiration for their designs.
The Farewell Weekend will be held from Friday, September 13 to Sunday, September 15 with five sessions from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Tickets cost £4 for adults, £2 for children, and can be booked here.
If any of the sculptures catch your eye, you can join the auction at Clive Emson Conference Centre at the Kent Event Centre in Detling, which takes place on Thursday, September 26. The money raised from the auction will go towards the Heart of Kent Hospice, a charity that supports people with terminal illnesses in Aylesford.
Most of the miniature Shaun the Sheep sculptures will be returned to the schools and groups that painted them, but a selection will be up for auction alongside the 51 large sculptures.
If you are interested in the auction, you can register online here.
Doors will open at 6pm with the live auction taking place from 7pm.
