Remember, remember the fifth of November with some fantastic family fun in Kent.

From firework displays to stranded space cadets, there's plenty of ways to keep the little ones entertained.

Here's seven things to do with the kids on and around bonfire night.

1 Fireworks at Quex Park, near Birchington

Saturday, November 3 from 2pm

This Marvel-themed bonfire event is perfect for budding superheroes.

It will feature comic characters on site, including Captain America and Iron Man, plus a funfair, craft marquee and plenty of family entertainment.

Tickets cost £13.50, £11.50 for under 15s and £45 for a family of four.

Parking is free, and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, with the main display at 7.15pm.

2 Looping the Loop Festival, Margate

Saturday, November 3 from 11am to 4pm

Having left their capsule, the stranded space cadets will be floating in the most peculiar way around Thanet, hoping to find their way home.

If you spot them in Margate's Old Town, why not help find their ship?

Or visit the Turner Contemporary and take your very own trip in the MadVentureVan space rocket.

Blast off and see the stars, dodge meteorites and discover aliens, if fireworks aren't really your thing.

3 Fireworks at Leeds Castle, Maidstone

Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4

Feel like a dancing queen at the Leeds Castle firework display, which will be choreographed to some favourite family music.

Dance and sing along as you watch colours light up the sky above the 900-year-old castle.

In the afternoon there will be live music from singer Adam Chandler and fairground rides, with fireworks starting from 5.30pm.

4 Beatrix Potter's Garden, Sissinghurst Castle, Cranbrook

Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4 from 11am to 4pm

Explore the lesser-known side of Beatrix Potter at this family-friendly exhibition, and discover the story behind the world-famous author.

Take a look at the plants, animals and landscapes that inspired the accomplished gardener, who later became a farmer and environmentalist.

With a number of original artefacts - including a pair of Beatrix's clogs - it's a must for Peter Rabbit fans.

5 Sci fi charity day, Smugglers Cafe and Bistro, Deal

Saturday, November 3 from 11am to 5pm

If you're a fan of all things science fiction, why not meet some of the people behind your favourite shows?

This fun charity event will feature Dr Who magazine artist Grant Perkins, alongside actors Kenneth Colley, Daniel Edhan and many more.

There will also be stalls selling toys and memorabilia to help support Newlife - The Charity for Disabled Children.

6 Kent Cricket fireworks, Spitfire Ground, Canterbury

Monday, November 5 from 5.30pm

Kent Cricket's annual fireworks display at the St Lawrence Ground will take place on Monday, November 5.

With entertainment from 5.30pm, it will include a funfair and live music - in association with kmfm.

Advance tickets cost £8 for adults, £4 for children aged between two and 14, and £20 for the family, with prices increasing on the gate.

7 Truck racing and fireworks at Brands Hatch, West Kingsdown

All day Sunday, November 4

Sparks will fly on and off the track for the annual Truck Racing and Fireworks spectacular on Sunday, November 4.

There will be a longer pyrotechnic display and, unique to the Brands Hatch display is the 'twilight convoy' which sees HGVs take to the circuit with lights ablaze as the fireworks take to the sky.

The event includes circus workshops, music and stunt shows plus free dinosaur shows.

Track action will be headlined by British Truck Racing, with support races too.

Advanced admission is £20 for the full day, reduced tickets for 13 to 15-year-olds and under 13s can go free.
