Tickets for The Polar Express Train Ride at the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells go on sale today
Tickets for the Polar Express themed train ride coming to Kent this Christmas go on sale from today.
An enchanting journey, based on the children's book and subsequent blockbuster film about a boy who climbs aboard a magical train outside his house that whisks him to the North Pole, is promised for visitors who are able to get their hands on golden tickets.
The Christmas experience is coming to the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells in December and is based on the story and characters in the 1985 classic festive tale by Chris Van Allsburg.
It is in partnership with UK-based company PNP Events Ltd - the firm behind the already popular The Polar Express Train Ride that runs at South Devon Railway each year.
Ticket holders will be encouraged to climb aboard the train in their pyjamas, just like the children in the book, and are promised a fun filled theatrical adventure as the train makes its way through the High Weald countryside to the North Pole.
Once on board, the Polar Express’s team of chefs are promising to serve up the richest hot chocolate and tastiest cookies of the year as they sing and dance up and down the train.
And just as in the original story, the train’s Conductor, voiced by Tom Hanks in the hit film, will stamp everyone’s tickets creating a sprinkling of ticket clippings all over the tables!
But perhaps the most memorable part of the outing will come when the stream train reaches the end of the line and passengers on board, just like the Polar Express children, can come face to face with Santa Claus.
He will be coming on board to meet passengers to the sound of Christmas bells that will ring throughout the carriages. Father Christmas will greet everyone personally and hand out the first gifts of the festive season - beautiful small shiny silver bells.
Tickets for The Polar Express Train Ride will go on sale from 10am today and the advice is to book early to avoid disappointment. To get your tickets click here.
