McFly and Sam Ryder join the line-up for the Margate Summer Series 2025 at Dreamland

Pop band McFly are returning to a seaside venue for a headline concert this summer.

The group, known for singles All About You and Five Colours in Her Hair, is the latest artist to be announced for this year’s Margate Summer Series, a string of open-air shows at Dreamland.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 7 at 10am. You can book tickets online here.

It’s the second time that the group, fronted by The Voice UK coaches Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher, has performed at the vintage fairground, with their last show at the venue being in July 2023.

This summer, the chart-topping boyband will return to Kent to perform some of their biggest hits, including Obviously, Shine a Light and Star Girl.

The BRIT Award winners are also set to play a string of sold-out arena shows alongside fellow noughties band Busted this autumn and recently had their 21st Birthday Party concert at the O2 Arena aired on ITV.

Since forming in 2004, the members have appeared on numerous TV shows.

Singer Tom Fletcher and drummer Harry Judd both competed on Strictly Come Dancing, with Harry lifting the glitterball trophy in 2011, while guitarist Danny Jones and bassist Dougie Poynter have both won I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Last year, frontmen Tom and Danny also appeared as co-coaches on the singing competition The Voice UK and won with their contestant, AVA.

McFly will be joined on Margate’s Scenic Stage by Sam Ryder, who will be warming up the crowd before the boyband’s headline set.

Sam, who rose to fame with his viral TikTok videos in which he would cover well-known songs, is best known for representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 with his single, Space Man.

The track peaked at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart and his debut album, There's Nothing but Space Man, reached the No. 1 spot on the UK Albums Chart.

This year’s show will also mark the second time Sam has performed at Dreamland, having headlined the venue last summer.

McFly and Sam Ryder will perform at Dreamland on Friday, August 1.
