Nick Sharratt's Right Royal Drawalong at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury
Popular children's illustrator Nick Sharratt is coming to Kent to show youngsters how to draw.
The creator of favourites such as Tracy Beaker and Timothy Pope is holding a Right Royal Drawalong in Canterbury and tickets are now on sale.
The one-off event takes place during half term, on Wednesday, May 29 at 2pm and is being held in The Marlowe smaller Studio venue.
Described as a family-friendly fun filled draw-a-long for all ages Nick will be showing budding artists how to sketch some of his character favourites, sharing ways of creating fantastic creatures like dragons and unicorns and giving loads of top tips.
And to celebrate his latest book Nice Work For The Cat And The King everything will have a special ‘royal’ twist.
Nick has illustrated close to 260 books and worked with authors including Julia Donaldson and Michael Rosen. His books include You Choose, Shark In The Park and Pants.
Participants are asked to bring pencils, paper and something to lean on and to expect plenty of chances to join in!
