Hever Castle holds Hever's Home Front in Second World War living history event
Life on the Home Front will be explored in the latest living history event to take place in Kent this weekend.
1940s Britain will be recreated at Hever Castle this Saturday and Sunday (June 23 and June 24).
Hever's Home Front aims to bring an authentic depiction of wartime Britain to the grounds of this historic castle.
Learn more about life in the Second World War within a classic double decker bus which contains reconstructions of a 1940s living room, shop, bombed out street and air raid shelter which will replicate the sights and sounds of the time.
You can also take to the floor in the tea dance tent, tap your feet to the music or browse stalls selling vintage wares and refreshments.
There will be authentic cooking displays and a fleet of US Army vehicles to take a look at.
Visitors are being encouraged to dress up for the event to truly embrace the wartime spirit and there will be prizes for the best-dressed.
Costumes can also be given a helping hand on arrival with a trip to Hever's 1940s hair salon.
Period model boats will be sailing on the water and a grounded life-size Spitfire will also be on standby for selfies.
Hever's Home Front is all included within a ticket to Hever Castle this weekend.
