Halloween and half term events in Kent open for ticket bookings

Half term and Halloween are sure to look a little different this year and families planning outings will need to be organised.

With many attractions, including pumpkin picking fields, asking for visitors to pre-book in advance, we've rounded up those with tickets now on sale:

PYO Pumkins, Beluncle Farm, Stoke Road, Hoo

PYO Pumpkins in Hoo is opening with pre-booked appointments ahead of Halloween to ensure it can provide a safe environment for both visitors and staff this autumn.

The site will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from October 10 alongside half term between Friday, October 23 to Saturday, October 31.

Booking is free but families without a prearranged visit cannot be guaranteed entry. To learn more or make a booking click here .

Pumpkin Moon, Maidstone, Rainham and Sittingbourne

Pumpkin Moon has three sites open this year to pumpkin pickers - but booking is required to visit. Tickets are £1.50 per person and pumpkins start from £1.

Pre-booking is available for fields on Old Chatham Road, Sandling, Lower Rainham Road and Fox Hill in Bapchild near Sittingbourne which are open October 10 and 11, October 17 and 18 and Friday, October 23 to Saturday, October 31.

Halloween Spooktacular, Kent Life, Sandling near Maidstone

Kent Life is being transformed for the spooky season with pumpkin carving, a creepy cuddle corner, spooky tractor rides and daily fancy dress competitions.

There will also be daily trick or treating available at 2pm on each day of half term.

Families wishing to brave Kent Life's spooky activities must pre-book their visit online. Events are taking place from October 24 until November 1. Learn more here.

From October 24 until November 1 you can enjoy a spine-tingling visit to Hever Castle. Come dressed in your spookiest outfit and follow the pumpkin trail around the grounds.

Spooky Dover Castle

Get ready for a ghoulish day out at Dover Castle between October 24 and November 1. Follow a trail to solve creepy clues, listen to spooky stories, come face to face with creepy creatures and take part in the daily fancy dress competitions.

Halloween at Betteshanger Park

Tickets for pumpkin carving, halloween geocaching and a spooky trail are currently available for the country park near Deal.

Prices range from £4 for the themed trail for all the family to £6 for pumpkin carving up to £10 to hire the device required for geocaching that is promising some spooky surprises!

Spooktacular events at Dobbies in Ashford and Gillingham

Dobbies’ Halloween Spooktacular is taking place from Thursday, October 29 until Saturday, October 31 in the Ashford and Gillingham stores.

Children can don their best costumes for a fancy dress competition, there will be the chance to tuck into fang-tastic treats, enjoy creepy crafts and ghoulish games.

The in-store events will follow all government guidelines closely to ensure everyone's safety, say organisers alongside rigorous hygiene measures also being in place.
