Betteshanger Country Park to contiue with Christmas events including outdoor Grinch trail from December 5

A country park says it plans to continue with its Christmas events, including a Grinch themed outdoor trail, despite Kent's Tier 3 ruling.

Betteshanger Country Park near Deal has a number of events planned for December including a festive trail featuring the popular Dr Seuss character.

That will open as planned from December 5 and run on selected dates but bookings will be limited to a maximum of six people and must be booked online in advance. Children will receive a gift and sweets as part of the activity based on the much-loved book How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Also still remaining on the calendar is the Elf on the Shelf geocaching themed activites, again for a maximum of six people with no booking required but visitors must bring their own mobile devices.

Wild One's Forest School is also set to continue on its planned dates with a Christmas themed holiday club and Betteshanger says the Christmas Drive In Cinema will also go ahead as planned.

Polar Express, Elf, Home Alone and Love Actually are amongst the blockbusters being shown from December 17 until the 22.

To enable people to enjoy the outdoors despite the county's current tougher restrictions, bike hire, all bike trails and walking routes will also continue to be open as normal.

The festive calendar offers visitors the chance to head to the great outdoors and have fun, whilst adhering to the Government’s social distancing advice.”
