Fright at the Musuem Halloween event at The Beaney in Canterbury
You've heard of Night at the Museum - now be prepared for Fright at the Museum.
Canterbury's museum The Beaney is being transformed into a haunted house this Friday and Saturday (October 25 and October 26) for some spooktacular Halloween fun for families.
Following on from the success of last year's event the two-day event is back this year with more pumpkin carving, potion making, Halloween themed refreshments and the chance to explore the site's spooky exhibits.
Fancy dress is encouraged, there will be prizes for the spookiest outfirst and you can also find a new creepy display in The Front Room!
Entry to The Beaney is free and then families can pick and pay for the activities they fancy.
Among them is the Halloween family trail Mother Crawe and the Crows' Curse which for £5 will take you around the museum with those who complete the trail in with a chance of winning an Amazon Fire tablet.
And on Friday and Saturday visitors will have a chance to meet some of Mother Crawe's feathered friends when real owls swoop into the museum between 11am and 3pm on both Friday and Saturday.
There are also pumpkin carving activites and potion making workshops in which kids can whip up their own spooky mixture whilst learning about potions, charms and how ingredients were used in the past to create creepy concoctions.
All sessions for Friday and Saturday are available to book via The Beaney Visitor Information Desk. To learn more about the event and dates and times of activities please click here.
