Kent County Show 2017 at the Kent Showground, Detling

Farm animals, music and traditional entertainment mix with robots and dinosaurs at this year's action packed Kent County Show proving that there really will be something for everyone.

More than 300 different activities, workshops, displays and competitions are crammed into three days of fun at the Kent Showground in Detling.

This year's celebration of all things Kentish blends our proud agricultural heritage with the latest in farming, produce and entertainment.

From the Shetland Pony Grand National and carefully groomed livestock to prehistoric pets in a Dinosaur Nursery and the Tractor Ted bouncy castle - families will be spoilt for choice and pushed for time trying to see and do everything on offer.

There will be Spitfire flypasts on all three days at 12.30pm and Titan the giant crowd-pleasing robot is back and will be at the main gate at 10.30am and 12.30pm each day and at the corner of Alan Day House at 3pm.

Go down into the woods and you will discover heavy horses, climbing walls, crafts and archery to try with the Kent Scouts and Girlguiding Kent while in the Country, Game and Canine area will be members of Ryarsh-based Pony Parties Kent where children over four can ride the ponies for free between 10am and 4pm.

Save some pennies for the traditional fun fair which includes a carousel and helter skelter while free Punch and Judy shows are being held at 10.30am, noon, 2pm and 3.30pm on all three days of the show.

The County Show takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, held from 8am until 6pm. You can buy discounted tickets online until midnight on Thursday, July 6.
