Bosses at the attraction were keen to get the play area open in time for the school break following some delays.

A post by the park said: "The brand new outside play area has also opened this weekend.

"There is still a little bit of work to do in there but that which has been completed is ready to see you and your little ones going wild.

"If you're looking for a new way for the kids to burn off their excess energy this Easter holiday and you have been as excited to explore the new towers as we have been to get them finished then this could be the perfect time to visit."

The new play area includes sensory panels, slides and climbing equipment.

It also offers beautiful views across the entire park and it is on the same site as the 18-hole mini golf, which launched last year.

In 2021, the park opened a brand new outside play area which includes the Clamber Castle, swings and accessible playground equipment for children with disabilities.

Many people commented on the Facebook post by the park to express their delight at the new opening.

One person said: "Wonderful news. My kids have been waiting for this and the reptile house to open.

"This is why we love Wingham so much. It's always expanding and improving. I can't wait to come again."

Meanwhile, the reptile house also launched ahead of the Easter holiday.

The park said: "Come and see all the work we have been doing and all our wonderful reptiles and amphibians in their new homes.

"There are old favourites and some exciting new faces for you to meet too."
