Christmas at Hever Castle - tickets now on sale

Tickets are now on sale to enjoy a Kent castle's popular Christmas attractions - but you better be quick to grab them for your family.

The most popular slots for Hever Castle's Traditional Christmas Tales event are expected to sell rapidly.

The event is running Wednesdays to Sundays from November 24 and daily from December 10 to 24. Tickets went on sale on Monday, September 24.

Rooms of Hever Castle will be beautifully decorated and themed around stories including The Nutcracker, The Tailor of Gloucester and ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas with twinkling lights and welcoming log fires.

While outside in the grounds wrap up warm and discover the festive interactive trail themed around Charles Dickens’ classic novel ‘A Christmas Carol’ where there will even be a chance to meet characters Scrooge and Bob Cratchit.

Each weekend, and then daily from selected dates as it gets closer to Christmas, visitors can ride the carousel, enjoy other vintage fairground rides at £1 a go, meet and pose for pictures with a husky and enjoy some festive food.

And nothing quite says Christmas like a visit to see Father Christmas in his grotto - tickets for which have also now gone on sale online.

You can now book your tickets to see Santa at Hever Castle

Children will be enchanted by the magical Grotto, sessions for which must be pre-booked, where they will be taken by an elf through the snowy ‘forest’ to meet Father Christmas in his log cabin.

But children who have not booked a visit to Santa may get the chance to meet him in his toy workshop where he'll be meeting youngsters on selected dates in December on a first come first served basis, with tickets costing £8 which can be booked on the day.

Magical Twilights Christjmas evenings have also been launched - taking place on December 1, 8, 14, 20 and 21 December which offer the perfect opportunity to see the enchanting gardens illuminated and enjoy the magic of the castle after dark.

Hever promises a magical Christmas for children

There’ll also be Father Christmas in his snow-dusted grotto and a fairground carousel. Twilight Christmas events must be pre-booked.
