Hole Park Gardens open to visitors as lockdown restrictions are eased

Families looking for a change of scene as exercise restrictions are relaxed can now visit a gardens in Kent.

Hole Park Gardens has announced it has reopened for the summer.

After eight weeks of lockdown, the attraction in Rolvenden said on Wednesday it is welcoming visitors again with strict social distancing and hygiene measures in place. Bewl Water in Lamberhurst announced on the same day that it too was welcoming visitors again.

A one-way route has been established around the gardens near Tenterden and visitors will be given instructions on arrival as to how they can best see all of the gardens whilst adhering to the government's social distancing guidelines.

Visitors may also bring well-behaved dogs, but they must be kept on a short lead, asks the gardens.

Hole Park says spring is in full bloom with flowers both in the borders and throughout the wildflower meadows.

Both the formal gardens, it's water features and statues and a circular woodland walk are open to enjoy for walkers looking for a change of scene after enjoying walks much closer to home since lockdown began in March.

The tearoom is scheduled to be open from Thursday, May 14 but will offer a take away service to allow visitors to enjoy refreshments within the gardens.

Hole Park will be open every day until further notice.
