Margate's Dreamland fairground will become the Frosted Fairground once again this Christmas.
A large ice rink, grotto experience, stage performances by Jack and Jackie Frost and a special appearance by The Snowman and The Snowdog all form part of the Thanet attraction's Christmas plans.
Newly re-landscaped and with what organisers describe as a 'host of new features in 2017', this is the first edition of The Frosted Fairground since the park’s redevelopment.
The amusement park will open on the first two weekends in December and then, with the exception of Christmas Day, it will open every day from December 16 until January 3 for festive fun, seasonal food and drink, music and entertainment.
Among the attractions will be:
Ice Skating
The 450 metre square rink will have room for 150 people to skate at any one time. And the winter weather won't won’t affect the fun as the rink is undercover, with a clear roof and walls for taking in the sights at the winter-themed amusement park.
Tickets begin at £9 for a standard admission and £7 for members and skating aids for children under eight must be booked in advance. All available by clicking here.
The Snowman and The Snowdog
Thursday, December 21 sees a special appearance from favourite characters The Snowman and The Snowdog. For more details click here.
Santa's Grotto
A magical experience awaits families and believers visiting the grotto at Dreamland. With elves, crafts and a sing-along with Father Christmas himself all topped off with a gift for each child. Tickets available here.
Jack and Jackie Frost
On stage throughout the Christmas period will be Jack and Jackie Frost hosting sing-a-long songs, playing Christmas number ones at 1pm and even having a lights switch-on every day!
