Children across Kent are being encouraged to make history at home and join the world's biggest art lesson this afternoon.
The virtual event takes place on Thursday afternoon (May 21) at 4pm.
The record breaking attempt is being led by author and illustrator Rob Biddulph who is hoping to unite as many young budding artists as possible for the mass art attack.
Since lockdown began in March Rob's online tutorials have gone viral and attracted hundreds of thousands of young participants, who tune in to follow along and learn how to draw and sketch some familiar characters from the world of children's literature.
Today's event is a 30-minute live lesson in which Rob will teach children to draw a familiar character.
The Guinness World Record attempt, in which participants need to sign up and register with an email address prior to the 4pm lesson on You Tube, is also raising money for charities working to support the coronavirus outbreak.
In a message online to potential young record breakers Rob said: "We want to see exactly how many people we can bring together. That's right. We are going to try to break the world record for the biggest art lesson/draw-along that has ever taken place.
"The aim is to try and get 10,000 people from all across the world drawing the same picture at the same time, and I would love you to be a part of it."
