An east Kent country park is reminding local families what it has on offer during lockdown.
Betteshanger Country Park has a number of bookable activities on offer to families who live close enough to be able to visit.
Working within restrictions the park near Deal is offering bike hire, geocaching and orienteering to families and groups who are visiting within the same household or support bubble.
Betteshanger has around 13km of mountain bike trails to explore plus a 3km tarmac track for traffic-free cycling.
Visitors can also run or walk its orienteering courses where there are four to choose from or embark on a digital treasure hunt with geocaching.
The park's play areas also remain open for younger visitors to use.
Social distancing must be followed at all times, says the park, and it requests that masks also be worn in public places.
Government lockdown restrictions state that families are able to take exercise in public country parks but guidance states that households should remain local to where they live and avoid travelling significant distances.
During February half term Betteshanger is also extending its opening hours to 8am until 4.30pm every day compared to the usual winter opening of 9am until 3.30pm.
Bookable activities will also be available both on weekdays and weekends during the school holiday.
