Groombridge Place near Tunbridge Wells to begin bird of prey displays on May 19

Birds of prey are set to begin swooping across an attraction in Kent from next month.

The UK Owl and Raptor Centre will begin outdoor displays at Groombridge Place near Tunbridge Wells from May 19.

Their displays which resume twice a day for visitors and will include many beautiful birds of prey along with informative commentary from handlers.

Black kites, an eagle and barn owls will be amongst the birds who will take to the skies in acrobatic displays.

The displays are included with admission to Groombridge Place where visitors can also enjoy the formal gardens and all attractions in the Enchanted Forest including the wooden fort, slide, huge wooden boat and rope bridges at Crusoe’s World and the 750 yard raised Board Walk with zip wire and rope swings.

And once you reach the top of the forest you can enjoy swinging through the trees on the giant tree swings and family nest swings.

Daniel Clark, from the UK Owl and Raptor Centre said, “After what will be 5 months of not being able to conduct our flying demonstrations, we are so excited to welcome guests back from May 19 at Groombridge Place to watch our birds as they show off their flying abilities right over the top of the heads of the audiences.”

Admission per day is £8.95 for adults, children up to 12 £6.95 whilst a family and friends ticket for four people with one under 12 is £25.
