GMB presenter Charlotte Hawkins to host the Children's Awards 2021 presentation ceremony

The winners of this year's Children's Awards will be presented with their accolade by a very special guest this autumn.

The awards, which recognise Kent's courageous children and the people and organisations supporting them, will culminate with a fantastic presentation event towards the end of the year.

And adding some celebrity sparkle to the glittering ceremony will be Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins.

The awards, organised by estate agent Wards, were forced to take a break last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Organisers hope restrictions will permit hosting a sensational celebration this year that can take place in person and include the traditional fancy dress, lunch and children's entertainment that is such a big part of the day.

If this isn't possible, a virtual ceremony will swing into action to celebrate the winners instead.

But mother-of-one Charlotte has once again pledged her support to the event and will be part of either presentation.

Charlotte, who is also a patron of north Kent hospice Ellenor, has been a hugely popular guest host at previous Children's Wards presentation events and judges are delighted to welcome her back to this year's awards.

Nominations for the seven available categories remain open until June 25 and we hope many of our readers will put someone forward they know.

Finalists and their families get to enjoy a fantastic day out at the presentation event, which alongside the opportunity to meet Charlotte, will see their hard work and efforts celebrated with a mystical-themed presentation event packed full of fun.

You can nominate online, which is quick and easy, at www.kentonline.co.uk/wardsawards
