The D-Day fly-past over Kent tomorrow and where to see it
Keep your eyes on the sky tomorrow afternoon and you may be see the rare sight of 34 wartime Dakotas flying over.
Schools and colleges under the fly-past route are expected to have their eyes peeled to show pupils the magnificent display of wartime planes crossing across the county.
And if you're at home with little ones - they'll be places you can spot them from too!
The aircraft will soar over the county on Wednesday, June 5, on their way to take part in the 75th anniversary celebrations to recall the D-day landings of June 6, 1944.
They are due to leave Duxford Aerodrome at 1.40pm.
Their zig-zag route will then take them over Colchester, Southend, Chatham, Maidstone and Eastbourne before they cross the Channel to fly to Le Havre and Caen Carpiquet.
The flight is expected over the Medway Towns at around 2.34pm and Maidstone at 2.37pm.
More than 800 Douglas C-47 Skytrains, known as Dakotas, were used to drop airborne troops behind enemy lines on D-Day and many made repeated drops.
Some of the aircraft in tomorrow's fly-past were involved in the original operation.
