Frankie and Benny's in Kent offering Kids Eat Free deal for World Book Day

Kids in costume can eat for free at a selection of Kent restaurants on World Book Day.

Frankie and Benny's, which has branches across the county, is giving away free children's meals on Thursday (March 5).

Thousands of children are expected to go to school dressed as their favourite literary characters as part of World Book Day celebrations.

The Italian-American restaurant says being in character 'is hungry work' and would like to treat those who visit restaurants still in costume after school on Thursday.

A free children's meal from the kids' menu is available with every adult main meal purchased.
There are branches of Frankie and Benny's in Rochester, Ashford, Gillingham, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Westwood Cross Shopping Centre in Margate and in Bexleyheath.
