Be Bright Be Seen campaign - get your free reflective disc

Are you a teacher, student or parent who would like FREE reflective discs for your school this winter?
After the outstanding success of last year's Be Bright Be Seen campaign, we are once again teaming up with Kent County Council Road Safety to help children be bright and be seen this winter.
In 2017 the KM Group and KCC kitted out more than 7,500 children with a free reflective disc to help them be seen in poor light.
We asked teachers, parents and schools to apply to receive a batch of the reflectors as part of the free bumper giveaway - and you did so in your thousands.
We were inundated with requests for the reflective discs which were sent to classes, teachers and after-school clubs.
The keyrings can be clipped to clothing, school bags or sports kits and even to bikes and scooters.
Last year they helped thousands of children be seen more easily on the county's streets once they left the safety of their school gates or after-school activity and we want to make sure the same happens again this year as the clocks go back this coming Sunday (October 28).
In 2017 5,791 people were killed or injured on Kent's roads - 578 were pedestrians with 131 of those being killed or seriously injured.
Among those 131 casualties were 24 children aged under 16.
If you're a motorist you'll know how difficult it can sometimes be to see pedestrians and cyclists during the dark mornings and evenings or when visibility is poor. And because school uniforms are often dark - it's important to make sure that children's outer garments have fluorescent or reflective elements.
Your child will be learning the road safety message ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ at school, and it’s important that as adults we appreciate the increased risk the change in seasons can bring and do all we can to make sure our families are visible - this includes ourselves!
