A children’s car seat is being recalled because of safety concerns.
The issue applies to the harness of the Solar Group 1 2 3 Isofix Car Seat.
A safety alert, issued by the Office for Product Safety and Standards, explains that a ‘small internal component issue’ has been identified in some seats that may result in the harness not locking properly.
The recall notice applies to certain batches of the seat that were sold through website icklebubba.com and Amazon.
Affected seats, which are white, grey and black in colour, will have been sold by either website between February 1 and February 23 this year, explains the alert.
They will also be carrying one of the following batch codes, which can be found printed on the back of the seat. Those codes are: Nov-2020-6, Dec-2020-7, Jan-2021-1, Mar-2021-2, Apr-2021-3 and May-2021-4.
A message on icklebubba’s website adds: “The safety of our customers is paramount to us, and we endeavour to ensure their safety through all our actions. We want to reassure you that our products are continually assessed and tested to ensure they meets our exacting expectations of safety, and we will always take the appropriate actions to keep our customer as safe as possible.
“We apologise for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused you.”
Any family with the car seat is being told to stop using it immediately and contact the company through which they bought it.
